Don't think it is possible USB to USB - what Model of PC is it - does it have a Video out connector?

RTFM :)

on pc - how do you connect it's monitor...

a) rectangular white 30+ pin socket ?
b) blue d shaped 15 pin socket?

a) you need a DVI to HDMI lead. One of the HDMI's on the telly should have the ability to link a line in for the audio to the image on the hdmi. so you get the pc sound too.

b) hope your telly has a 'pc in' socket the same - there should be a line in for the sound associated with it too.

Tell the pc the native resolution of the tv, or it may auto detect. Hopefully the video driver can match the resolution, or find the closest.

There are various options and it depends what ports you have available on tv and pc, you can add ports to the pc by adding a different VGA card.

My wife has 5 year old Toshiba - TV out on the back - so simple!

I have a Dell latitude - no such connector. So got myself a Port replicator with a wealth of connections on the back (DVI, S-Video, Video, S/PDIF audio).

you can connect using the single yellow rca plug from the pc to the tv - tv is usually AV1.

then you need headphone socket to red/white of AV1 for sound.

if you don't have the yellow RCA - you could use the VGA out to VGA in - set TV to PC in ? - you'll still need the audio cable

...or HDMI cable if its on the PC ? audio included.

if you can't figure that out - try watching the PC screen :) :nenau

That's the route I went down and now works a treat

Thanks guys :thumb
