My laptop came with a free trial of Nitro Pro. That has now expired. Do I need to download a pdf reader? If so, is there amy particular one to go for?

(Windoze 8.1)

Go to the Adobe Acrobat site, and download Acrobat Reader.

Just make sure you are on the official site.

It's free, and is the only one to use

I use foxit reader both at home and install it on all the PC'S at work. We ditched acrobat reader because of its constant security flaws.

I had foxit reader on my last lappy. Actually, Nitro Pro is still working as a reader

Can't argue with this.
Also use CutePDF writer to convert files into PDFs, and
PDFbinder to assemble multiple PDF documents into one.
All free.
