Pegaso engine in a funduro?

It seems that my engine in my funduro may have had it. I've been offered a 12k '99 pegaso carb engine, will it fit?, has anyone either done it, or seen it done.......or am I wasting my money?

I sorry I can't remember exactly what year my Pegaso was, it a 199? but I do know that it did have the same ROTAX 650cc engine that BMW were putting in the Funduros of the same year.

They are basically the same engine, so will fit, although there may be some issues with sensors and that kind of stuff...doubt it'll be a problem tho.

My understanding is that the pegaso motor has a 5 valve head, and produces more power than the BMW motor (not sure if this is true for the 1999 models).

Thanks for the answers. I was hoping that someone might have fitted one, or tried and failed. I might just hang on and find a funduro engine..........I don't want to throw away any more cash.
