I haven't seen or heard anything about the Perfect Pilot lately. Has it been put on the market yet and does anyone have it?

If so, tell us about it.

You do mean the cradle for the 2610?

The "makers" at Notter in Holland say it will be available by the end of May.

Touratech is working on a handlebar mounted remote control for the 2610, and they say it will be ready by the end of July.

Cheers,
Michel

That sounds good. Let us know when it comes out. I sure hope it is less expensive than the PerfectPilot.

What are people currently using then to mount their 2610's to their 'bikes?

RAM, Garmin(on RAM mount), and Touratech all from what I've read. I have the RAM and like it. Never heard a complaint from it. I've seen one broken Garmin and read of another. Its attaching mechanism is not well designed.

I have both the RAM and the Garmin cradle.

I don't like the Garmin much, because it "secures" the unit by a tiny piece of spring steel that grabs a flimsy piece of plastic on the back of the unit.

The RAM bracket is a bit more bulky, but still very light and feels much more secure.

It looks like this:
