hi , i managed to soak the screen of my 1150gs with petrol the other day whilst filling it up and the screen has gone all cloudy ( wot a pwick !!! ) anyway , just wondering if theres a way to clean the screen or if it need a new one ??? and if so ,does anybody have one going at a reasonable price ??? :D:D

Leave it to dry out and it will be a lot less noticeable, and may even be ok. Could take a week or two.
Another thing is to make sure you click the tank lid shut after filling up and before reaching about 60 mph.
DAMHIK.....

Did this earlier in the year (muppetry) as soon as I'd splashed it I rinsed it with 2 ltr evian at the pump. Rode home washed the bike with the usual washy/wax then removed the screen and polised it with Mer car polish for 45 minuites and it came clear again.

Done the same a few weeks ago when not paying attention but have tried washing, polishing etc etc and still have a nice cloudy patch on it as it managed to eat into the plastic before i could get it cleaned properly :blast

At least i now have an excuse to look for a dark screen now
