Does anyone have any experience with these machines ? I'd ideally like to get hold of a workshop manual for one . My daughter has just bought one which needs a bit of work done on it but it's restricted to 30kmh so we want to derestrict it first and then be able to service it ourselves. Anyone have any useful sources of info on this ?
Cheers

Yeah. They crunch up real nice when you ride a GS over them a couple of times....:D

Steve you are a TOSSER !! :eyebrow Miss Gecko would be very upset if I did that to her wheels.....I'll tell you what though it's a sight better than the Puch Maxi that I got started on all those years ago :D

Ahhh, the good old Puch Maxi. I remember re-jetting mine to a top speed of around 40 mph. Buggered up the fuel economy quite a bit though...:D

I had a twin saddle from a Honda C90 , no baffles in the exhaust and a natty little blue screen to tuck behind to improve aerodynamics :D .....but it never broke down and down hill it seemed to be able to rev it's guts to oblivion and beyond.....

......now how about the new fangled PGO scooter. What am I going to do to make it go quicker ?

I was going to say" attach front wheel to steam catapult on aircraft carrier & hit go button!" but at the risk of sounding flippant i shan't.Ur going to be a bit limited perhaps gutting the exhaust system would be a good place to start but as with most mopeds you will end up chas'in your tail ( no pun intended).Next up would probably be a big bore kit,try classifieds in More Crap than News. Is she over 16 ? might be a few probs with insurance company etc re mods

Over here in Belgica there are 2 classes of mopeds. A = max 30kmh and B= max 50kmh. The machines are exactly the same but there is something done to them to restrict them . Miss Gecko will use it as class A then do her test but then I want to derestrict it to be able to be used as class B. I guess it's something on the carb because the electrics are pretty basic.....
I've taken it to bits tonight but can't see anything obvious so maybe it is as Steve suggested - the jetting

Leigh could be on the right lines with the exhaust. I know some of the simpler twist'n'go's used to be restricted by a 'washer' somewhere in the exhaust. That may have only applied to two-strokes though.
