Thats good news and someone who has been recently is being very kind and sending me some maps he has marked up.

Does anyone know where you can buy good detailed maps of the area in this country, any specialist shops out there?

In Picos de Europa you can drive from Espinama to Aliva,when you are in Aliva you can drive inside the Picos direction to Sotres,it is amazing way.By the other places around Picos you will have not any problem to make enduro or trail.

I recomended you,anyway,to go from Potes to Vega de Liebana,Puerto de San Glorio,Vega de Sajambre,Cangas de Onis,its an unforgetable road,really.
