Pidcocks, Long Eaton

My dealings with them have always been very good :thumb

pidcocks

Bought bike from them & used them for servicing ,for 3 years. No problems, small warranty issues all dealt with promptly.
Cant speak for anyone elses experience but I wouldn't baulk at dealing with them again.

Bike is due in for warranty service (12000mls) in 4 weeks. So far fork brace has corroded which they have agreed to change, wonder if they will replace the cylinder heads which are corroding around the injector inlet (i doubt it !!) all of the bolts around the timing chain cover are shot aswell but I have a Vern s/s kit on standby.
The main thing that I have noticed is that they are all dour , no humour or is maybe just a northern thing ?
I will report back as I think I will have a battle on with the corrosion thing.

I seem to remember them coming 2nd in the UK dealer section of the RiDE reader survey last year.

But I may be wrong.

:)

though i've never dealt with them - their reputation for good service has reached over HERE!
:D
Dublin!

eM
thinking i may have to go over *there* (U.K..again:rolleyes: ) for my next bike

Im happy to travel from SW Brum to Long Eaton and apparently im not the only 1 and never been any probs at all with them

well had a discussion with service and I have the only R series in the country with corroding cylinder heads.
BMW have ageed to replace under warranty and Pidcock's will do the work with loan bike. Result.
Queried the dealers resistance/reluctance and it was explained that sometimes a dealer does warranty work and BMW do not agree that it was a warranty item the dealer takes the hit on cost. Goes someway to explaining the resistance at dealer level.
Must admit I would rather not have my Adv pulled to bits in the first place but I will take the hit on px day if I don't.
Will have to challenge the comment at the time of "it depends on how you feel about asthetics" went over my head at the time.
