Can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier of a pillion foot rest lowering kit for the R1200 GS Adventurer 07 model?

Maybe.....

I think site sponsors BMWBikeBits do one.

See under their GSA section (footrest kits), is this what you are looking for?

Touratech ? Wunderlich ? I've seen them sold somewhere, but I recall that like all BMW farkles they weren't cheap.

Thank you for your leads.
I have since found a Touratec and a Wunderlich option which apparantly fit, but niether have pictures on the web that show the nearside footrest which is the one that looks as though it will conflict with the centre stand and side stand. Although I tried to get reassurance that the foot rest lowering kits would deal with this issue nobody seemed to have a clue.

However, I have placed an order on the understanding that I can send it straight back if (when) it does not fit.

I know they will be expensive but what cost to keep the navigator happy?

Hello Dave

I have the TT version (I have had it fitted to 2004, 6 and 7 GS models - I guess the frame is identical) and regarding conflict with the center stand - it does come very very close and a little patience is required to get the boot on the stand lowering bit and start to lower it, and having managed that, you'll find that your boot has to be moved in order to complete the operation.

However, her what sits behind says that it does a good job :bounce1

Have a little patience, it can be done :thumb

i have the wunderlich ones fitted and they are fine for the gsa, and suits my pillion which is more important

Thanks for your replies regarding TT and Wunderlich solutions. I will be grateful if you can provide part numbers.

The navigator is smiling with the anticipation of greater comfort.

Best regards,

Dear all,
well we have taken the pluunge and fitted the Wunderlich lowering kit part No 8160053. No cheap at £119 79 including VAT P&P etc. This lowers the footrest by at least 2.5 inches.

I have tried to enclose an image but not sure if it will work. If it does not I will seek advice and try again.
