Wore my Shoei helmet today and i decided to steem up between the 2 visors

Hadn't worn it since it was washed and cleaned with soapy water , polished with a soft cloth , then left to stand overnight :)

Iv'e also noticed that there's loads of sctatches on the inner piece and it distorts your vision a little in the sun :(

Anyone else's done this :nenau

Should they last longer than this ,should i just buy a new one or complain to shoie

Never had this happen with either the Multitech or the Hornet.

When you washed it did you remove the pin-lock and wash it as well or just washed the whole lot with the pin-lock fitted?

Could be the silicon bead on the pin-lock is damaged :nenau

It was washed cleaned and dried seperatly :)

I was wondering if any of that Ginger rain got in in Turkey :thumb

Pinlock

Mine did the same, when i had a close look one of the cams had turned slightly not giving a good seal between the insert and the visor, tightened up and the problem dissapeared. As to the visibility i agree it's not perfect but it does say on mine daytime use only and it's a clear insert so shoei must know the pinlocks arent 100% perfect.

I'll try that :beerjug:

fog city

it was the same with that fog city thing i used on an arai at one stage. I ended up removing it and getting one on those foggy face masks which works good. The fog city was especially bad at night.

Yeah check the pins - they are not straight they are cam shaped. Maybe need to turn them so the insert is tighter against the visor.

I heart pinlock.
