Hi, allow me to introduce myself here again, had to re-register.

I am having to split my XC's cases to get a look at my selector fork, as my bike get's stuck in gear since I had a crash.

I know Bez1 have done this before but I don't seem to be able to PM him, nor access his public profile.

The problem I am dealing with right now is that I cannot get the motor out of the frame. There are two parts in the mounting that attaches to the head that looks like it may need a special tool to remove. It is numbered 14 and 15 on this FICHE.

Does anyone have experience of how to remove these things?

Also, are there any thing to look out for specifically when splitting the cases?

Ok, answered my own question. Yes, you need a special tool to get the engine out of the frame. BMW won't sell to customers so I intend making one up.

You also need to be a sponsor to pm etc thats why you are having problems
