Pink box or not pink box

[(RIP) Yosi]

I'm installing a Remus can with "Y" piece replacing the catalist box.
I understand that the purpose of that pink relay(ish) in the fuse box is to tell the system that a cat is present.
Opinions as to what to do with the thing are divided between "leave it alone" and "trow it away"
Further opinions, please?

Not certain about the 1100 Yosi, but on the 1150 you don't have to do anything.
