What a revelation...................... why didn't I do this years ago? I bought a pinlock for my Schuberth R1. Drilled the holes myself, amazed at how good it is.:blagblah:D

I'll second that. I've been using them on my Shoei for the past two winters. The only thing I need to fog-proof is my glasses, and Clarity De-fog drops work great for that! The Pinlock should have been invented long ago!

My feelings exactly. I have had one in the drawer for my Shoei for 3 years and could never be bothered to try it out. It was foggy a couple of weeks ago and I had to go for an early morning service..........decided to give it a go and what a revelation. Will leave it in the clear visor now.

I've noticed that mine only seem to remain truly clear and sharp for one season. I don't like to ride with a dirty shield, and even minor scratches distract me, and the Pinlock seems to take on a slight haze to it after a season of use. Not bad, just not 'new' looking. But it really isn't so dear that replacing it once a year becomes a major issue. Pinlock certainly is the best to come along so far! The 'Clarity Defogger' drops really work nicely provided you put them on every other day or so, but the Pinlock requires no such maintenance and do a perfect job.

Find I need to remove mine every few months, clean it in hot water and re apply, otherwise the bead around the edge loses contact with the visor and it then slowly fogs up.

+1 for pinlock
spend years with fogged up visors but latest helmet came with it already fitted
amazing! pricey but worth it imho
