Went out today for a short spin to get Stan used to ford riding.

Went to Pinvin Ford but the road was closed. So naturally rode down to have a look.

Reason it is closed , the ford is approx 1m deep and running bloody quick  .

Anyone feeling brave /stupid enough to try it? I'll happily take photos. :D :thumb

Funny, I was there this morning, but I went over the foot bridge. ;)

Deep indeed, but I have seen it a lot lot deeper than that

I think you should , at least you can drive that quick in the rain :D

No, this one here

Quote taken from the wet roads site:-

There is no competition...this is definitely the longest and deepest (light-vehicle motorable) ford in Worcesterhire. A concrete base of around 4 car lengths makes this one well worth a visit.

Now if you want a real challenge, then have a go at this one

I have ridden this many times in the past, but not only does it have some feckin' big rocks somewhere init, there is a bloody great hole in the middle that is very friggin' deep!

This also makes it quite entertaining as well:-

'Danger! The depth Marker is Partially hidden by Vegetation. The Depth at GROUND LEVEL when the water touches the Marker is 2ft Deep at the Entrance not 1ft as Previously stated and not 0 feet as all the other Markers!!!!'
