Round 'n' round in circles.........
While out today on a training ride this afternoon, I took the lane that heads down towards the ford, half expecting to have to turn around when I got there to be honest.

Unless you know this ford, this will mean nothing to you, but the little path by the side of it was still under a couple of inches of water.

The bridge platform itself was still level with the water. And the depth marker was showing that the current level just under 2m deep

There was a eldery women walking down to the ford, who lives in one of the cottages on the approach, she said that last weekend you could not even see any part of the bridge.....holy sh*t!

Jaws

Quite right Dirty Dog, don`t want too many of them out in the real world:eek:

The Evesham/Pershore road at Cropthorne has completely gone and only good if you want to be Evel Knievel!!

I`m sure the ford at Pinvin is where that guy was washed away in his Volvo a couple of weeks ago so it`s a bit nasty when flooded!

Just watched Jaws on the telly. That`ll stop me fording for a while because I`m sure I saw it`s freakin fin last week coming up the severn:eek:

Sadly it was indeed. :(

The odd thing about that was he was a local and everyone who knows of Pinvin ford knows exactly how bad it can be. So to even attempt it while the water level was so high was always going to end in tears, which with regret it did. :rose

now it well use it a lot but not at moment:(

I like the distance markers on the edge of the hole... very professional makes me want to build a ramp and have a go.

Alan - as a fellow lycra lout I thought you'd be interested in this picture of Halesowen track, taken on the afternoon of Wet Friday.

It's quite steep banking on the corners, so I guess there's about 6 feet of water in there.

Crikey, its been many years since I went there.

But I fancied having another crack at doing some track racing down at Newport. That was until I saw the aftermath scars of a mates legs/face a couple of weeks ago.

Funny, but all of a sudden I went right of the idea. :rob
