planning a trip on mac?

hi, how can I plan a trip on my Mac and transfer it to my Zumo 450 on a mac? it my first GPS so its ok to be low tech guy.

You need to install Garmin Road Trip on the MAC and then get the maps installed.

Note there are some utilities available that can assist with moving a map from a PC to a MAC - that you might also need to run, not 100% sure how you get the maps into Road Trip without using a PC first - although an upgrade of the maps does work directly from the Garmin CD to RoadTrip.

my copy of City Navigator NT v2010 installs straight into RoadTrip without the PC conversion malarkey.
