Plasti dipped my lowers today..

Air cleaner cover, other fork lower, horn cover and rear light surrounds all done today!!!:D I'll need to do the lights again as they peeled slightly when removing the masking tape:blast but no big deal. Gives a good idea of how they will look when finished...

Air cleaner done..

Looks good.... Just need forward controls now....

Nice job.:thumb2

Extensive googlin' an' such has failed to find many [any] negatives to Plasti Dip.

Seems like at the very least it would provide good, temporary protection to a Batwing on tour. Got to be better than chipping the flies off. Pannier lids might benifit too.

May have a go at this.

I was thinking the same thing about my new MAHOOOOSIVE fekking barn door of a fibreglass fairing on the brick.......the stuff chips when I hit a gnat at 60, so this stuff is looking like a serious possibility :thumb2

That stuff would be good in clear-coat if sold. Where I ride, it is the sand that takes out the sheen on my gloss paintwork, especially the batwing, lowers and panniers.
Sand and high winds along highways are worst. My previous 1150 GSA got battered during its 8yrs here.

Wawaweewa!

Plastidip looks good but Dear God those apes... :eek:eek

SeRider .... when you go for a shit, do you just cut a small hole in your underpants ?

Looks good Chris, I'm wondering if it would work on my wheels. I've seen spoked GS wheels powder coated black but I suppose this might work just as well?

No, generally I pull em down after my trousers....Any reason why you are interested in my toilet habits?????

It was a wee, maybe too cryptic reference to painting your sliders without even removing the wheel.
Sorry ... I was in a cheeky mood. Looks ok though

Aahh, It all makes sense now..... Can't remove the wheel as I don't have a stand or lift for the bike... I will once I get one!!
