... any bright ideas on how I can quickly remove this?

Was tempted to let it all just burn away, but it looks and smells shit.

When it happened to me I noticed that when the pipes were cold the plastic chipped off easy as pie. Not that I've chipped pie off my pipes in the past. If you see what I mean.

Try one of those metal kitchen scourers. But test it first to make sure it won't scratch the finish on your pipes.

Failing that maybe acetone (nail varnish remover) would disolve it? Watch out for any plastic parts you want to keep though :)

Warm up the motor, and scrape off with pallet knife or sumsuch?

Should be nice and melty and bendy, will stink though

it happened to me a couple of weeks ago. it's bl@@dy annoying...:banghead:

using a stick of soft wood with hot pipes did the trick.

good luck

after initial scraping use Brillo pad and/or iron cleaner - the stuff in a tube used to remove the gunk under the iron 9works best when hot)

if you've a blue/white tarts handbag - leave it on, it matches.

:D :D

Happened to me on my Triumph Speed Triple, once. Found it easiest to let it go cold and then peel off with the aid of a sharp knife. Took about half an hour.

Plastic bag

You should slow down for plastic bag when they cross the road and not run them over and you would not have to clean the down pipes .....
Let it burn ride with a peg on your nose
