 Can you lovely guys out there please help !!!.
Ive owned my lovely GS1150ADV for about 2 months now and have a slight problem with the handling.
It all started x-mas eve on the "shite way " round to the cafe @ quatt when the beast wouldnt turn.
My mate Dave said to check the tyre pressures, what i said !! it had air in when i purchased the bike.
I tried to find the air hole but to no avail....
so far i have taken out some of the spokes but now the bike wobbles.......
please please help........

You could always try asking Mutters, as he is our resident muckhanic. :bow

The ability to turn the wheel is hindered by the gyroscopic forces on the mass of the wheel. Reduce the mass and the wheel will turn easier.
Do not try removing a few spokes because this will unbalance the wheel. For best results remove all of the spokes.
:D

oh stop whingeing, theres nothing wrong with a little wobble you wuss. :ymca
blue tac the spokes back on and ride the bloody thing.

You need to reduce the sprung gyroscopic mass. You were on the right lines with removing the spokes but that is only small fry. I'd drop off at least one of the brake discs and calipers, if not both - you can always rely on the rear brake :thumb

1150s always wobble,as do most of their owners when they climb off.

I think you will find that the first post by Tundra Warrior is from my comedian of a boss who thinks its funny to pose as myself and try to make me look like a twat, hes only got the hump as he only has a poor mans GS...Suzuki V Strom :P...the REAL Tundra is a site sponser folks :thumb

Nice try Stew but no cigar :nono

Keep safe guys and gals :D

Boss-bating, a fine old country pastime

Bosses who think they're smart:mmmm
Fine sport ahead methinks:D

Boss-bating is compulsory in our organisation;)

Not Stew as in Dirty Dog btw, its Codeye Stew from Hein Gericke Duglaay in which i have to endure til 30th Jan :P Speaking of which, there is a managers job going there, any takers, GS owner much preferred :D

solution No1

I always find a bike is easier to turn once the front wheel is returned to the ground,:thumb

Hmm, I think he would be better off removing the disks, then he can get rid of the calipers and other crap at the same time.
