Hello all :)

If like me you deeply dislike the OEM fog lights on the 1200 LC, 1250, & 1300, have a look at these:

- Billet aluminium (not cast)
- 2.4" (6 cm), smaller than stock lights
- 33 watts per unit
- measured 4296 lumens per unit (= Denali D4)
- 290g per unit
- plug and play, meaning all you have to do is unplug the crappy stock additional lights and replace them with these. A 5 minutes job.

You then turn them on and off by using the OEM fog lights button on your handlebars.

Pricey, but convenient and extremely powerful.

PS: I understand how one might prefer to use an EZ Can instead, but I think this is a great product and wanted to put that option on the table for those looking for replacement lights :)

They look very nice...and they don't throw up an error message on the 1300? Everything else seems to do that....

I have no idea! 🤷🏻‍♂️

But they are specifically designed to work as a plug and play solution for 1250s and 1300s. So I think they don’t.

The gentleman who designed them is a member of AdvRider forum, has a good and established reputation, designed these specifically for 1250s and 1300s and offers lifetime warranty, if I‘m not mistaken. So I’d say no worries at all!

I’ve ordered a set and will connect them to my EZCan.

What convinced me was the power to size ratio and the quality of the lights themselves.

I’ll let you know and I’ll post a video once mounted to my bike.

I wonder if there is a way to tuck them inside the side fairing so they don’t stick out the side like the OEM fixing?

There probably is… there are so many creative ways to attach small lights like these.

But you’d probably have to design your own mounts.

Hi all :)

As promised, here is a video of the Ruby R4s mounted to my GS.
It's actually a gif, couldn't find a way to insert a video.

This doesn't really give them justice, but it gives you an idea. VERY powerful small lights. 65 watts of bright goodness.
Riding in the night with these on feels as safe as riding in the day.

The only drawback is that when I turn them off, it looks like darkness. It feels like everything is off.

I have covered about 1500 miles with them, mostly by night, and it feels sooo much safer than with the stock setup.
I avoided a young deer, tonight. Not sure I would have spotted it without them.

And this is what they look like. They're small, I find them simple and elegant and they don't hang as low as the stock fog lights.

So there you are. Tested and approved (y)

PS: And yes, I have removed the DRL in the turn signals. I think it's confusing for other road users and I don't like the way it looks. It makes the bike look wider where it shouldn't be. Unrelated to the Ruby lights :)
