Hi,
I've got the Autocom Smart 7 which does not power a radio. My question is can I power the radio directly from the bike (e.g. from accessory socket on R1200GS) and if I do this do I need some sort of voltage change circuit?
I'm thinking of buying the Kenwood 3107 but not sure how this is different from the 3101 (except a lot cheaper on the net & 2 watts power rather than 0.5)
Cheers JG

Depends on what you buy. I don't know about the Kenwood but Intaride do a 'false' battery which will power their radio from the bike's 12v circuit for £20. It's good quality kit and seriously underrated IMHO. Certainly worth considering...
