Portal search leech ...help plz

Hi Guys, somehow what I can only describe as a leech called portalsearching.com has attached itself to my Microsoft browser. It has become almost impossible to surf with the stack of pop ups queuing up in the background. It has added an address bar to the browser, which I can’t remove! 9 pop-ups while I typed this grrrrrr.
Any ideas how to get rid of it

It appears that download and run of www.portalsearching.com/uninstall.exe
will cure it.
