Looking to book a one way ticket for early June. Any one know of any offers at the moment from P&O?

Usually I book and then I read a 30% off deal in some magazine the next day :spitfire

Thanks :bounce1

P&O

Are they still doing this run?, I believe they are pulling out of the runs to France, if not done so yet, not too sure about Spain.

P&O are still doing the Biscay route to Bilbao. They don't do any routes to Northern France from Portsmouth.

The Portsmouth to Le Havre route is being run by an Italian firm http://www.ldline.co.uk/ppc.html

To do a return trip involving a ferry to Spain, road travel through France and a Channel crossing back to the UK with P&O means using Calais to Dover.

For me, nicer ferries, shorter travel time on the ferry to Spain and the shorter distance to get back home make the Brittany Ferries option more attractive. The P&O price would have to be much cheaper for me to consider using their inferior service.

Try motorsport travel [01759 301010] or [email protected] they might be able to do you a deal went april 05 £305.00 return ,it'll cost you that if fuel & tyres from boulogne to the pyrenees

Motorcycles news usually have details about ferry deals i think, if not in MCN then try either Ride or Bike magazines, i m sure you are bound to find something in one of them

Or try motor sport travel or MCI tours one of these should point you in the right direction

The advantage of the Bilbao route for me is it sets off Sat night and arrives 8.00am Monday (35hrs). Two nights on the boat to chill out and get into the right frame of mind. But mainly, you discharge at 8am after a night's sleep, rather than early evening (Santander run), when you then have to find accomodation straight away) :)

If you need accommodation before or after the Bilbao/Santander ferry then I recommend www.casazalama.com about 60k from both ports.

Run by a very good friend of mine and his Spanish partner (who happens to be an excellent cook :thumb ).

Mention my name (and they'll probably chrage you double :D )

Cheers

Are you sure about this ? I did this crosssing last July and arrived in Santander at about 1100. I know they still use an older boat whcih takes longer but try to get on the Pont Aven which is very new and very comfortable ( and faster - about 18 hours ISTR)

I think you have misread the timetable:

The latest the ferry arrives at Santander is 12.30pm i.e. lunchtime (4pm depart Plymouth), . That's only half of them, though: the others arrive at 9am (12.30pm depart Plymouth).

No, not sure after reading this. I'll have another look as the timetable might have changed.

Thanks all :thumb
