I'm headed out for the month of June, on my first big ride, solo.
Newly aquired 1200GS, with the intention of taking in Spain, France, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland - all the while dabbling in a few trails offroad here and there - will you be messing about in the dirt at all when you're over there?

Ey up Sambo, im not doing any off roading (got our lass on board and all her gear) but we are doing the back roads. Camping in the Pico's first night then heading south via Salamanca , Merida etc. see you on the dock

Nice one, kinda hoped there would be some more bikers up for an adventure on the boat, then i stumbled upon the forums - good timing!
I'm getting things prepped already, downloading some maps to the GPS as I type, sorted the european health care card, and tackled an easy green lane this morning to try and get used to the knobblies ive put on (never done any offroading so i want a tiny bit of practice)
When you say camping do you mean campground somewhere or a bit of wild camping? Trying to keep costs down so opted for a seat instead of a room, so i'll be up for a bit of late night reccy in the bar if you'd be willing to offer a few tips!
