Looking at going out to Portugal at the start of October for a week and looking to ride down some suitable trails on my GS and then across Spain to leave the bike at my parents place in SE spain over winter.
Planning on getting the ferry into France and then from St Nazaire to Gijon and riding down through Portugal on the back roads with some trails thrown in for good measure, then roads back across southern spain to the parents place.

Looking ideally for info on trails that are perfectly passable on my bike as this will be my first foray into offroading.

Also what are the laws regarding wild camping in Spain and Portugal if anyone knows?!

Cheers
Bob

If you'll have a GPS drop me an e-mail to markie underscore wales at hotmail dot com - I may have something of interest to you.

went to the al garve with ORS earlier this year, plenty of trails suitable for GS's, but some have to have wits/balls with you, purely because of the sudden realisation that you have a 200' drop with no barrier to one side

don't have any of the maps, and alas, pavey wasnt handing them over (i did ask - fair play, he has a business to run)

but seriously, al garve, jsut go off and play, there wasnt really anything i saw that a gs couldnt do, your skill might be the deciding factor though (only 1 hill did i struggle on, and another i didnt so much struggle but did get a HUGE sense fo acheivement at the end of it - but i did it cleanly first time which im very pelased with)
