Obviously the new WC bikes have the exhaust on the opposite side to the current models, requiring new panniers.

Looking at my current GSA metal panniers (and assuming the mountings and frames will be the same as current models), I suspect it would be possible to drill out the rivets for the mounting brackets on the panniers and then pay a local sheet metal company to rivet each bracket back onto the opposite pannier, thus reversing the panniers from left to right and vice-versa.

Anybody else think it is possible? It would be nice to save all you nice peeps a lot of money when upgrading bikes through a little simple modification.

I though this was going to be how to fit fit a Water Closet into a pannier.
Like a Touratech bog pannier:D

I wondered the same thing but the exhaust cutout in the left pannier slopes up from front to back so it would slope the wrong way on the other side, otherwise there would have been a market for pannier frames to take the old boxes on the WC.

May be possible but I think I'd rather flog the 12gs panniers, put a few hundred quid to the £14k plus bill I already have and get new bespoke stuff so the bike doesn't look like a half-breed.

Thanks, I didn't realise that, I jjust took a glance and the idea hit me. I guess the "sell on to fund new ones" is the best option then.
