I saw a comment "who needs post codes when the postmen are like trained sniffer dogs!!"

All for post codes but remain to be convinced the Eircode system is the best one. Someone is betting big on selling the database to Navteq etc. Let's see!

In fairness, there are at least 3 other places in Ireland with exactly the same address as my house, and it is not properly mapped on the GPS, while on Eircode it is spot on. Hmm.

Loc8 was offered to them for free and can be used to track to a house, gate, barn, shed, etc.

They have consistently rejected it, even though the logistics companies are already using it. It is supported by Garmin too.

Cronyism of the worst kind.
