Had a weekly check round the bike (used daily)

noticed a big flat spot on the front rim. Not enough to release the trye or lose air but damaged non the less.

Remembered the big pot hole in Stevenage :blast

Anyone know of a wheel repair shop or coneverted to 17" rims got a spare to sell :thumb

Watch out for pot holes:eek:

Go back to Stevenage with ruler and camera.. if the hole is still there take pictures from several angles clearly showing it. Also take shots of the crater with the ruler across it so the width & depth can be seen,
Take photos of your damage rim , and get a quote to replace the rim & send the lot in to Stevenage council..... you have nothing to loose

pm me

Hi,

Their is a specific method for dealing with claims for compensation against the council, or anyone else, they will almost certainly have a defence, however, if you do want details of how to approach them and the exact questions to ask PM me.

As above but you should also take a "today's" newspaper front page with you and get it in the photos, that way it shows the currency of the damaged road surface and not one from years ago.

Plus report the damage via their local roads phone number, that wqay once they have been telt more difficult for them to get out of paying up if anyone other biker then gets caught out.

Bent wheel

Everything above agreed. But to answer your question and seeing where you live I assume you use Balderstons. A few years back i bent a rim on a K1 and the nice people at Balderstons got it fixed for me at reasonable cost with even the paint unmarked! Suggest you give 'em a ring and they might let you into the secret of who and where!
Good luck.
