I have a Street Pilot 2820 :D and the brass tabs on the connector at the end of the power lead are funked:tears.

Is it worth cutting it off and replacing it with the one on the end of my 13 amp mains cable which is rarely used?:hammer

Anybody any idea how much a replacement is from Garmin - or even if they are still available? :nenau

the lead for the zumo is around 25 gbp so maybe around the same?, i would just buy another, as splices are always a weak point imo.

I was short of a bike power lead for my 2820, and as I remember I just cut the plug off a mains lead and wired it to the battery via an inline fuse...

... and I'm sure it's fine!

I made myself a lead from the car speaker/ charger from my 2610

Worked grand and just plugged it into the DIN plug on the beak
