I bought a second hand PC3 a couple of months ago and just haven't got round to fitting it for one reason or another. Amyway, done so much work on the bike I thought I'd better finish the job so on the reccomendation of Stick of this parish I took the bike to a little company in Cradley Heath called Projex www.projex-uk.co.uk.
Kev asked me what I wanted and I want a lot of low to mid range power because of the tours I do and have no real need for a lot of revs. He set the bike up beautifully on the Dyno and now the from 3000rpm through to 6500rpm the drive is super smooth and powerful. The bike is totally transformed and will pull in any gear from any revs with no hesitation whatsoever. One really good thing is a 10% better fuel consumption so I'm really chuffed
One interesting thing is the power drops of at 6500rpm because the end can is stiffling the power. You either run without a baffle or use the standard purpose built can for best performance. Still, mine was making 85bhp at 6500 rpm which is nigh on the same as much newer and lower mileage bikes and would no doubt make the magic 100 bhp with the right can
I've always thought a power commander was sports bike bling but I'm now an absolute convert and the bike is nigh on perfect.
Just for info, the bike is a 56 plate GSA with 70,000 miles, Keihan headers, Beowulf end can and K&N air filter.
