For all of you that may be interested Dyno Jet Power Commanders will be out for BM's in Feb this year. Looks like they are going to be expensive.

Has anyone got any thoughts or installed them before?

Worth the money or not?

Jim, I may be trying to organise something with Dynojet as they are based just north of Preston. I spoke with them at the NEC last Nov & they will be getting in touch when it's released as they may want to use my bike as a testbed for it. The TT videos may have helped, here......;)

They regularly organise "club" days & open up their HQ for clubs to go & have dedicated use of their facilities for dyno runs, P/commander fitting, fuelling checks, etc so I'll see what I can do.

The P/commanders for BM's are going to be around £470 fitted & mapped.

Thanks Paul, that sounds quite interesting. Any idea what sort of performance improvements we could expect? It would be good to get an increase in power but i am also interested in getting the fuelling spot on.

Does that price include fitting and Dyno runs?

I've just posted this dyno print on the tech board.

The power on mine went up to 85.5bhp with the existing mods & I don't think that will change much. What I'm hoping for is to fill in the mid-range, where it runs rich at the moment. There is a drop off in the torque (as they all do, if you look at different GS dyno printouts). Fill that in & the power curve will also smooth out. Ideally, I want a lovely flat torque curve which starts at low revs, rises quickly & doesn't drop off until as close to the top-end as possible. As it stands, it gives a false impression when riding, that it has a fantastic midrange. You get to around 4500rpm & the torque comes up really fast so you get good acceleration. It feels great on the road, but I'd like it to happen lower down as well.

Thanks again Paul. Perhaps we could sort something out with Dyno Jet and go up. How did you leave it with them, are they going to contact you??

Jim.

Left my email details with them, but if I've not heard from them soon I'll give them a buzz. The last person I spoke to was the head honcho - Frank Wrathall - & he was downloading the TT videos....... I don't think they'd impress him much, though. I mean, his lads do the work on all the Monstermob Dukes for BSB, etc......
