okay y reg 1150 gs in bmw dealer. 28k FSH, panniers, h grips abs and a few extras good nick all round. He wants 5200 i think high what would be a good price

don't forget...if your buying from a BMW dealer there is usually a 12 month warranty on a used bike!
you are paying for that warranty up-front on the inflated screen price
just have to weigh up if you want peace of mind or save a grand by shopping around and buying private
most jap dealers only give 3months warranty on a used rice rocket

I wouldnt buy a bike privately - go to a dealer for the warranty. My 1150GS had done 23k and broke cam tensioner gude rail - 1 complete strip down later 6 weeks so far and I only had her 3 months. Repair bill is £475 for parts would have been £2k if dealer did it - under warranty free!

Price does seem high. Vines in Guildford had a 51 plate 1150 with 24k priced at 5295 but "willing to talk" on the price.

Try checking some of the dealers web sites . They'll have some on their books ,and youll get an idea of what the trade prices are for what youre looking for .. I know C&W had a couple of 1150 GSA's around a few weeks back, 26/28k and around the £6k mark. might be worth having a look there. Bearing in mind theyll be a bit more pricy due to the 12 months BMW warranty as has been said earlier. Good luck with your search ,,its well worth it in the end when you get what you wanted.
