Hi Folks,
My trusty MSR blacklite cookware set is now reaching the end of its life span, the non stick coating is going. So been looking for a replacement and came across the following bits of kit, by Primus. I cannot tell if the non stick is part of the metal, ie part of the composition or is a coating.

Primus Litech Pans set. Two pans and lid.
Primus Litech kettle.
Primus Litech frying pan.

Has anyone got any of these bits of kit and how do you rate them for wear and tear and cooking?

My MSR pans were bought in 1998 so not bad performance really. Views and opinions appreciated cheers..

Not me

I use the Trangia cooking set-up powered by metho or whatever fuel you want to use. Excellent piece of kit.

Got one..

Have a trangia, used it for years but went to petrol stoves for faster cooking times and less bulk, though a trangia is still a pretty useful bit of kit..

Sadly was hoping some one here would have direct experience of the items I am interested in..

I have the pans and lid, only used a couple of times but they are good nothing has stuck in them yet :D they are large if your only cooking for one but they are just the right size for us, the worst is the handle takes a little getting used to using with one hand, I don't think you could get better for the money the only ones I've seen that come close are the Tefal version, also purchased a plastic fish slice come universal cooking tool thingie, can't remember the make but it's plastic so it won't damage the coating. I looked at titanium cookware but was told to steer clear as they burn food easily due to them being good conductors.

Hi Rocks, MSR stuff is nice quality but a bit pricey. Now I just happen to have purchased a nice little Titanium cook set today made by snow-peak (I think thats how its spelled) its a three peice set consisting of a small frying pan (just big enough for a couple of eggs and two saucepans and a lid. The whole set is about as heavy as a couple of feathers. I also bought a titanium burner thats also super light and fits neatly inside the cookset :thumb2

Trying them out..

Hi mermoto,
Have you used them in anger yet. I was given a titanium pan and mug a while back, but found that food stuck really easily to it, and they didnt hold the heat long, sucking out the heat from a cuppa in a short time. Also they conducted heat so well, i burnt my fingers on the mug.

So wondering how you found these ones of yours, especially the frying pan. Any chance of a piccy of the set?

Cheers John..
