Just viewing a thread in the 'Rant' section of the site when I noticed that whenever 'Prof' replied to a thread my computer ISP, Operating system and other info about my system was displayed at the bottom of his reply box.

Firstly it pissies me off when anybody looks into my private business uninvited.

secondly what other info is being obtained.

If anyone wants to know my ISP, what version of Windows I am running etc please ask it's no secret.

But keep out of my system.

I've now installed a program that prevents prying eyes and tested it, it appears to work but is a pain in the a' to set up.

What did you install?

It's called Secretmaker, it's free and it's pretty good but it's a pain in the butt, to configure everything, if your interested get it at

But don't use the the anti-spam you'll live to regret it. For spam I use Mailwasher Pro a registered version I might add.
The Worm Hunter is pretty good and you can pick and choose a load of other bits and pieces, Banner Blocker, Movie Blocker and Intruder Blocker and some others, anyhow it stops the annoying little unasked for gifts

I appear to have been the victim of a Selfwinding up, I'm not always as eager to bite as I appeared to have been on this occassion but being Ex-plod and a very very dissallusioned ex-plod I do get a bee in the bonnet about freedom and privacy seriously there's effing cameras everywhere or more accurately anywhere they'll make money, then there's phishing emails and spam emails and begging emails,

So as I do not seem to have hurt anyones feelings and made a bit of a plonker of myself I shall say no more other than look forward to getting ratarsed with you all at the hog roa, raos, the camp out in July
