Amanda's just got herself a new iPhone and I've set it up (fecked it up) for her.

When commissioning it in iTunes I was asked if I wanted to call it the same name as her old iPhone. I changed it's name thinking she might still want the old iPhone to be usable :blast

It won't now load up all the contacts, photos, texts etc from her old iPhone.

Any tips on how I can change the name back (I'm guessing that will sort the problem?) or indeed, the proper way to now copy everything over before she chops my bits off :nenau

Ta :beerjug:

No idea how to help - just makes me concerned that my contacts won't copy over smoothly when new iphone arrives

I've found lots of iphone help on the vodafone forum

I've done it lots of times before and it's always been fine so don't worry, just me being a twat this time by renaming the phone....

Andres,

Do a factory reset and that will take the phone back to scratch and you can then start the process from the beginning.

Thanks Dave, I've just put that in motion but have to wait a bit as its updating the software to OS6 at the same time - fingers crossed!
