Problem with routes on 2610

I have loaded 6 routes on to my 2610 for an upcomming Trip. However when I try & activate them I get the following

THis route does not Match the available Maps

It will not follow the roads precisely. Doo you want to recacluate

Yes Recalculate No use it anyway

If I press Yes, it recalcualtes & comes up with a route which is nothing like the original ie It should Go from Bilboa to the Pyrenees, but ends up going from the Pyrenees via biboa to my home back in the UK.

If I press no, it changes the route anyway to a direct as the crow flys route

I am using CN V8

Any ideas

i'd say you are using different version of mapping on your pc to those loaded gps unit.

maybe you created the routes in v.7 then upgraded to v.8?

v.8 on pc, v.7 on gps perhaps?

Just let Mapsource recalculate the routes, & all is OK now.

Have you downloaded more mapsets? I had almost the exact same wording about 2 years back when I downloaded a route, but I'm pretty certain that the problem wasn't caused by a different version of the maps, but by missing mapsets. Have a look at THIS THREAD

I remember that to save space on a datacard (for a French trip) I had deleted some local maps, but just forgot to make sure the necessary maps were put back on the card, when I later downloaded a route.

oh yes, that does give that error message as well

Theres a chance that the route has been recalculated around a missing section of maps. I'd check that all mapsets required are loaded for the first route you planned

I think the routes were originally plotted in a different version of Mapsource. So I just recalculated the lot & all looks OK.

I had all the correct Maps loaded onto the CF card.
