Problem with Zone Alarm

Hi chaps, help please.

I an rnning Windows XP with Zone Alarm, not the freeby but the one you pay for.

This morning I tried to open / download a PDF file from the AA's website. I also tried to open a map on the ViaMichelin site. My browser information shows 'Done' but the window is blank.

I have tried putting ticks into all the 'Choice' boxes in Zone Alarm, allowing Cookies (and several other 'things' which I have no idea what they are) but it doewsn't seem to make any difference.

I used to be able to download PDF's and get the ViaMichelin maps up, no problem. Any ideas?

What browser you using?

If IE can you see a message at the top of the screen where the helpful IE might have blocked that nasty PDF? Or some other equally nasty component? In both cases your browser might well have treated both downloaded components as a 'pop-up' and stopped them.

If Firefox, try IE in case its one of those sites not designed to work with anything other than IE

p.s. your pc used to have the free version - wassup were you feeling flush one day
