Can anyone tell me how I get the Address, intersections, points of interest, to highlight on my GPS 5 Delux,I have pressed the find button which shows the page with them on, only to find that these things are not highlighted.

I have only just bought this system so its all a bit new to me, may be I've missed something.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'highlight' - do you mean you want to 'go to' or see one of them on a map ?

If you select your waypoint and press enter it should take you to the next screen which gives you some options at the bottom of the screen " got to " " map" "delete" and one other but I can't remember what it is. If you choose map it will show you the waypoint in the centre of the map and you can then zoom in or out as you wish.

What "Mapsource" have you downloaded?

Worldmap and/or parts of European City Select (delux comes with both). You cna't put all of City Select on as there's not enough memory

Joe please dont get me wrong I am only trying to help but (RTFM) which basically means have you read the manual. There is not a lot to it and it will probably sort you out.

Good luck and have fun, GPS is fun once you suss it out...

I know you've said you've downloaded Mapsource but I'd still bet that you haven't loaded maps to the GPS unit... a mistake another new owner made a while back. No maps, no search.

If you have loaded the GPS unit with the relevant maps (I still don't think you have) press the find button and go from there.

To load maps you need to select them within mapsource - max 19Mb, look at the bottom left hand corner to see how much memory you've selected.

Let us know how you get on. All these newby errors make it easier to diagnose a problem next time around.
