Puma helicopter ditches in north sea

Very good news indeed. Just had a mate call me wondering if I was home!! Thankfully here I am , got home last night.

Glad all are safe and well.

glad to hear all where rescued, be thankful for small mercy's that it happened so close to the platform so rescue services could get there quick.
Exactly. :clap

But there's something I just don't understand. Given where the accident happened, sunset was at about 5.00pm so it would have been dark by say 5.20pm. The accident happened at 6.40pm ie well after it was dark, so how come the helicopter with the crew filming for the TV news clearly shows the helicopter bobbing about in the water in daylight? :nenau

Because it was from another , older incident ...........they just showed it so you could see a super puma floating in the water :thumb

Great news that all souls are safe ..............

Yes just like the usual BBC library footage of 1980's choppers and the one shiny rig out there that they use for any North Sea related story :)

Sad to think that even the mighty Beeb believe none of us can grasp what is happening without showing us a picture......

Tabloid journalism creeping in again.
