Is anyone tempted with the new WP shocks with push button adjustment just like the ESA on the K1200.

It’s one option I was sorry to see missing on the GS. I couldn’t justify the £1400 WP set on a bike when it's only just clearing the 1k mark last week.

But as a matter of interest at what point do the standard shocks give up?

I've got over 60,000 km on the original set, no mods to the suspension, rebuilds etc. and still going strong. I've got a second set, off of Ebay, ready to install @ a moments notice.

What are the details of it Stu, do you have a link?

Here's a Link to White Powers website. There a little bit of info in the news section. Only has a picture of the unit's controller sat to the left of the dash tho.

Got 27,000 miles on my OE shocks, including a lot of off road use. The only problem is that the rear preload adjuster is getting stiff, I think it's probably full of mud so I need to strip it and clean it sometime soon.

Ok so the BMW shock lasts a heck of a lot longer than on sports bikes. So I can't use that reason for getting one. Maybe an '08 GS will have it on the option list. It would be handy, but the rear preload adjuster is better than the c-spanner on my last bike.
