I am thinking about a couple of Puxing radios but both bikes have Autocom remote PTT switches bought for Alan radios. Does anyone know if the Puxings use the same twin pin plug setup as Alan as changing the expensive PTTs makes the radios pricey.

Also, how hard to program UK PMR frequencies and do they work with CTCSS, DCS.

I've got the programming lead for the Puxing/WeiWei radios, simple job to program, have a look on ebay, they are not much money. Battery eliminator can be handy too.

Thanks for that. The main thing is the Autocom lead. I believe there are two different twin plug standards so I can't assume that because the Puxing radios have two sockets they will work with the same leads as the Alan. As these leads are somewhat expensive from Autocom, if I have to change them the radios become a lot more expensive.

I think you will find that the Puxing is the same fitment as the Kenwood. These have a three segment pin on the two pin plug while the Alan has two pins both two segment.

I use Alan and all my headsets are two pin two segment. So while looking for a new radio I discounted both the Kenwood and Puxing. purchased an Intek MT 5050. This is a great radio and easily modded to 4w.

The way to check for fitment is to look on Ebay for acccesories and count the pin segments.

Make sense ????:beerjug:
