Flip,

what difficulties were you moaning about?

Knackered swing arm bearings that needed pressing out and replacing, front and rear wheel spacers that needed making (came as part of the TT kit but then didn't fit!!), TT yokes that should have screwed on, but fouled on anything they could and needed modification to the front fairing frame etc etc etc.

TBH I knew it wouldn't be easy when I bought all the stuff (used and therefore not necessarily as supplied by TT). Add to this that I like to moan my balls of anyway and you have a recipe for disaster :D:D:D

Big thanks to Sycomoto (my big brother) who came to the rescue to make it all happen. I rang him a few weeks ago with the ultimatum "Help me dude or I'm gonna torch the wretched thing":D:D:D

Thankfully he stepped up and help me turn out this beauty :thumb

:drool:drool:drool

that looks ace

the Dakar that BMW should have built in the first place!!!

btw, at 6ft tall i struggle with the height of mine at times, an extra 1.5 inches would make it unmanageable for me - maybe i've got short legs tho

a job well done tho!

To be fair, I think it's taller when I'm sat on it, probably down to the better quality stiffer suspension than anything :augie:augie:augie

As a portly fellow, the standard suspension used to scream under the pressure, the new unit laughs at it and just does it's job. Very impressive :thumb

Used to be both feet flat on the ground, now tippy toes on both or slide over a bit and one foot firmly down.

Portly fellow......Oh Flip, you are a comedian and good at the understatement:D

Looks great mate and that 18" wheel makes it look a bit more fit for purpose than the standard Dak.

Look forward to seeing it on Saturday morning but FFS don`t drown it in a ford.....

There's no ford ride and no real interest :(

Looks like me and Syco will be ooot and abooot on our own:thumb
