Quest... not £150 but...

... £299 in Bristol. I was lucky to get a £150 Quest in Dixons, Stroud but later today saw a pile of them in Motorworld/Outdoorworld on Hengrove Way (Enterprise Trade Centre oppostive the Cinema and leisure park). Told the guy in there that PC World were doing them for £150 (missed out the bit about them being like rocking horse shit!! ) and that bikers were looking for good deals on them and he said that anyone who walks in with a bike helmet can have one for £299. Not too bad me thinks.

Er..don't wish to seem rude but it's a bloody awfull deal actually....you can get the Quest with V7 software from most internet suppliers for less than 280 quid with next day delivery, and there are still lots of places to get the 150 quid units.

You can ask any of Dixons group outlets (pc world, dixons, curries etc) to look on their computer for any available stock and they can tell you of any units in any branches......

Even if you can't find a unit for 150, you certainly shouldnt pay more than 200 for one.

I'm glad to hear it... after reading the initial "Quests for £149 posts" I started wondering around checking and bumped into other bikers looking, albeit in vain. I phoned Dixons Stroud who had 3 Tuesday, they put one by for me and when I picked it up he'd already sold the other two. Best of luck to anyone who can still get a great price on them.

i checked the pc world web site and they aren't on there, only the garmin I3 STREET PILOT.

I asked my local PC World to check their system. They can check for PC World and Dixons. On this occasion there was one in Stroud and I phoned them and they put it by for me. Good luck!!

Anyone come across any futher deals on these. Looked everywhere and the cheapest I have found is £275 plus £10.00 postage with V6 software .

Tempted to wait and see what happens to the price come the new year.

Seen Quest 2's for £450 and would be tempted by one of these if the price falls a bit further.

However looks to me like the end is nigh - well for the quest 1 atleast. Very pleased with my unit for £200 - took me round the Lake District last weekend with no bother.

Yes - I noticed that this morning as well. Rang to ask and they confirmed that it is no longer being manufactured

I guess if they have non to sell that they can quote what ever price they like

It's the same price (£79) on the Currys site... and the same message about non-availability. I guess the Currys mail order facility is one and the same as PC World's.

Managed to get the last one at PC World Slough for £149 last week - couldn't find another one anywhere according to their stock listing!
