Quest Powered Cradle Installation

Just got the powered Garmin cradle for my Quest.
I have a fear of frying.
I would like to wire it to the standard power socket so it switches off with the ignition but loath to do it without a little advice. I assume the red Garmin wire connects to the brown and the black Garmin wire connects to the red/green on the bike.
Any tips or directions to the relavant threads appreciated.

I think you'll find that the power socket is live all the time. Well on the 1100/ 1150 it is. If you want it to switch on with the ignition you can pick up the beige terminal block under the front of the tank on the 1150. Not sure of the colour code as it was a while since I did it.

I think I read else where on this site that on the 1200GS the socket power is withdrawn 15 minutes after the ignition is turned off.

I'm waiting for the local BM garage to confirm before I take the plunge myself but I believe that the Brown wire is the earth and the Blue/Green wire is the 12v switched.

The garage couldn't check the wiring diagrams until they had a 12 plugged into the GT1 diagnostics

The wires you need to connect to in the 12 GPS 'spur' are:

Red/White = permanent live
Brown = earth
