Just spotted this device http://www.gpsw.co.uk/details/prod2828.html - anyone tried it, especially those who normally need reading glasses to read the screen clearly - how easily does it attach to the RAM holder - is there any vibration issue etc etc?

Tony, thanks for call and chat. I've had my hands on one, so can answer the points best I can ..

RAM-MAG1. The RAM Magnifier is 2 inch by 4 inch glass magnifier with 2x magnification. The difference this device makes in the overall functionality of the GPS screen will be very noticeable. Just playing around on the desk there is a noticeable improvement. This IMO can kill, the Quest vs 2610 screen size debacle that some debate in the forum.

The Mag glass frame has a ratchet and adjustor attached onto a flex rod arm and it comes with a diamond adaptor to 'sandwich' the flex rod between the RAM diamond base (part of your existing mount) and the diamond adaptor. It works with all RAM cradles (dimond imprint on the rear) and the ratchet adjustor allows to get the into a focus position.

As to 'vibe' the MAG can be tightened so screen is locked and the flex rod is rigid enough. IMO it does what it says and will work fine for normal road use.
