Hi

I did search on Google & this site for Quest rear connector. No luck.

I would be happy if someone explained what is the meaning of 6 golden connector pins at the back of the device.

There is power & audio in these pins but which is which?

Cheers

FIN-GSer .. the simple answer is do search for QPAC in the Forum. Its a Quest Power & audio cable (several versions available) that is used with the RAM GA15 cradle.

If you want audio output only (eg no power option) then look at ACQ-25 or ACQ-35 and again, it attaches onto the RAM GA15 cradle.

Source for these is GPS Warehouse (www.gpsw.co.uk) and not RAM-man.

The connector panel on the rear of the Quest has 6 pins of which 4 are used (eg power and audio) the last are believed to be for a serial connection point.

Thanx RAM-man

I have read lots of QPAC related threads lately.
I am after "power only", no audio cable.

Well, I can allways tear my current adapter into pieces and find the information myself. Somehow I thought someone had done that allready

>> been here before; inside there's a Vreg and .. its a lower temp rated than the Bike version, and .. its not sealed or waterproof, and .. not intended for bike use, and so on ~ BUT ~ since when has this stopped anyone until they blow it up.

Fair point, but if you can get an audio only cable, why not a power only cable ?

...... just order a QPAC from gpsw and ask them to clip the audio plug off before posting ......

Turn voice off on the GPSR
