Hi, ok so i'm going to grab a cheap quest this lunchtime, but what extras do i need to mount it on the bike adn get sound to my ears. Do Ram have a complete mounting kit, including cradle for the quest.

Apologies for the lack of me searching on the net, but i'm in a real rush this morning at work, so hoping someone here can answer my questions!

Thanks in advance

.. and the bike is ??? I assume its a GS or GSA .. ?

So parts list depending where you fit, either a RAM-B-149, RAM-B-149Z or RAM-B-149ZA plus RAM-HOL-GA15 cradle plus QPAC.

QPAC has four options, 01 is hardwire, 02 , 03 , 04 have a BMW fused plug attached, each suits different bikes. You'll need to decide which jack socket size is used for helmet head set or earpiece or comms. If attaching to the oval rail on a GS12, add a RAP-319.

to attach to the rail below the screen, should i use the short mount - RAM-B-149ZA?

And on a 1200gs, which qpac kit is best. I only have the standard socket, but not sure if i fancy trailing a lead all the way to this one. Is it easy to wire the bare lead QPAC in somewhere up front (? there is a lead for the BMW navigator, so i could just wire into this???, or does this need some canbus software activation.)

Alternatively i could get the 2nd socket kit from BMW, but not sure how much this is. Probably ££££. :(
