Quest2, Show Map = atalantic Ocean. Help!

I have a little issue with my Quest2 (apart from wishing I hadnt bought it!).

The issue is as follows. When using the unit to plan a route, once finalised there is an option to SHOW MAP. If I highlight this option and press OK the unit used to display the chosen route on the map. Now when I press OK, the unit displays a location in the Atlantic Ocean about 200 miles off the coast of Ghana! If I scan upto the UK the map is visible so the unit is doing its work, but not placing it onto the screen.

Any ideas?

Oh dear.....

I have a little issue with my Quest2 (apart from wishing I hadnt bought it!).

You don't say why you wish you hadn't bought it, but if it is anything
like my old Q2 then it is feeble. Slow and loss of sat lock.

Have you considered returning it in exchange for a better unit
if it is not working properly?

Several of us here have had poorly performing Q2's, have returned
them to Garmin and (eventually) had better units in exchange,
either 2610 or 2720.

Not got my Quest with me at the moment but is there any chance that the "show map" option is associated with a waypoint page and that waypoint is defaulting to N 00.00 and W000.00?

Good thought. Hasnt sorted it though. Just deleted all waypoints and loaded a small route. Show Map still takes me to the Atlantic. Next step is to restore all original settings.
