Question about 2610

Just got hold of my new 2610, it is working brilliantly and a great help but am trying to look on map source for my home address and that is fine, but it dosent show any of the roads, these are b, and c class roads.
Is the any way of showing these on the map? they show up on the unit fine.
Also how do you go about removing points of intrest from the unit which i uploaded but they always keep coming back once deleted on the computer and next time i upload again and they are back? any ideas

In Mapsource, click on View, Map Detail and then select Highest. You should then be able to see all roads when zoomed-in, although they will disappear again as you zoom out.

Not quite sure what you mean here. Can you elaborate?

Uploading new waypoints, unlike loading a new mapset, doesn't delete previously saved waypoints. You'll have to delete them on the unit; same with routes.

I zoom down to 20m in the highest detail on the drop down menu but still no roads? any ideas.
It was not points of intrest i wanted to delete but way points, so will go into the unit and delete them, were do you delete them from?

Have you tried pressing Cntrl + G to toggle between map detail?

Or you can go "View" on your toolbar, then toggle between "Hide GPS map detail" and "Show GPS map detail" it does the same thing. I reckon that should sort your problem.

TBH I've never understood why this option even exists, when you can change the map detail by using the drop down box which gives you the option of 7 different levels.

any ideas about deleteing waypoints? Cheers, now got all the roads on the map, looks a little better now.

Feck - are you still up?

Typical, I deleted all the waypoints in mine last week, but try pressing the "Find" button. Scroll down and select the "Waypoints" option, then press "Menu". From memory, this will give you the option to delete individual waypoints, or delete the lot in one go.
