Does the Remus Carbon can 'deteriorate' any quicker or slower than, for instance, the Alloy version? I imagine the alloy will tarnish quicker but what about the carbon - does it stay looking lovely for years?

Bought a low mileage, gentle use 1150 last year that had had a carbon Remus on for a couple of thousand miles. After another, admitedly rough, 4000 miles I had a very loud 2 piece can!!
Now it had spent a lot of those miles on rough E.European roads and also off road but hey isn;t that what the GS is built for, and therefore shouldn't parts for it also be built to cope with the same treatment??
I replaced it with a Remus Ti can and did another 10,000 odd miles with no probs. Also fitted a Ti can on my 1100, no probs so far.
